Edward Farrell, Attorney at Law
Dr. Ted Farrell has a wide range of experience in law and higher education, making him an excellent advocate for people immigrating to the U.S. Having worked around the world in settings as varied as a war-torn village in El Salvador and a Ph.D. literature program in France, Dr. Farrell knows the opportunities and pressures that draw people to the U.S. Dr. Farrell draws on his experience to empathize with clients and to make a persuasive case that they qualify to participate in the American Dream.
Dr. Farrell is President of
Education Kentucky Inc., a consortium of Kentucky colleges and universities that promotes the Commonwealth as a destination for international students.
At the Brandeis School of Law, Dr. Farrell was active in the International Law Society and was a quarterfinalist in the 2009 National Immigration Law Moot Court at NYU. He interned with Kentucky Refugee Ministries, the Louisville Law Clinic, and local immigration attorneys.
As Professor of English and Director of International Programs at
Hanover College, Dr. Farrell taught in Belize, France, and French Polynesia; performed research in West Africa and Latin America; and advised international students from around the world. He administered Study Abroad programs in over 30 countries. Dr. Farrell has published several essays in academic journals, presented at conferences in the U.S., France, and the Bahamas, and edited a collection of scholarly essays.
